if you run 4 gauge, you really might have some issues. 0 gauge is what i've always heard as recommended for any main battery lines... i used to do car audio, that's what we ran for a battery relocation. it just might put a strain on your ignition system.

i noticed the other day my car makes a rattly/crunchy sounds right when i first accellerate from a standstill. anyone have any idea what it could be? i have an auto tranny, but it doesn't sound like anything in that grinding or slipping. i'm baffled.

that's actually not sound deadening, it's a fire prevention device. it's pretty standard on turboharged cars, my mazdaspeed protege and wrx both had it. basically if something catches on fire it melts the clips, the padding falls down, and melts over/smothers the fire (ideally). it's not a...
