    hard starting and no idle

thats what im talking about, i turned everything by hand to line up, both cams point at 12, the crank mark is almost between 5* and 0* after starting it. i dont know if that would keep it from idling, even holding it above idle it wont stay at a steady rpm. i noticed i had a fuel leak earlier...

    hard starting and no idle

i just finished up a head gasket job yesterday, even after fixing a code 51 i still have a wierd hard starting, it sounds like like cranking with kinda random pausing, its even clashed with flex plate while starting a couple times. once it does start it wont stay running and has a choppy idle...

    kick down/throttle valve cable

yup that was it, problem solved. what a day and night difference! also swapping the tps, made things worse so for anyone else that sees this, the newer tps doesnt work on the older style engines. it kept hitting the fuel cut for some reason. thanks to all for the info

Knocking some dust off an old topic.... Coolant Temp. Sensor Mod.

hmm.. i heard of another way to getting around the temp sensor. corvette owners just bypass the coolant heater hose to the throttle. considering that out entire intake throttle the head is metal... then again its just a matter of time before the intake warms up from the head back to the throttle
