I'm building the car to be used on road course like Sebring FL, Daytona Speedway FL (road course part) and maybe road atlanta. I hope the W58 can hold 400whp. I will be running at daytona Dec 2014.
I'm getting ready to install a 2jzgte vvti with a Haltech standalone in my 87 n/a supra. I would like to know much power can a freshly rebuilt W58 tranmission reliable hold.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
Will my top 2 chooses are haltech and pro efi. Tuning is getting done at titan around november next year. So now I'm going to look at the pro/cons of them.
Ok. I'm going with +25 for the back. The wheels I'm getting are ESM-004 (Silver) from ESM wheels.
Size Front 19 x 8.5 +35 with 245/35 19"
Rear 19 x 9.5 +25 with 275/35 19"
I'm on Intrax springs with Bilstein heights adjustable shocks.
I'm looking to get new rims. I'm going with 19"
The Fronts 19 x 8.5 +35 Tire are 245/35 19"
The Back 19 x 9.5 +25 or +40 Tire are 275/35 19"
Which offset should I go with for the back +25 or +40?
I put Hid headlights on my 87 supra last summer. When I went to turn my foglights on it turn my hi beam on. So do I have to do a fog light rewire to make them work? If so How do I do that cuz I heard 89+ supra rewire is different from the 86.5, 87, 88 supra.
I got intrax and they only drop 1.8 in front and 1.5 in the back I think. But When I got them it droped my supra 2.2" in front and 2.0 in the back with KyB shocks.:icon_bigg
But then the back KYB shocks blew so I got Bilstein height adjustable shocks for the back which are great. Soon I will...
Eiback or Intrax are good, but intraxs are lower. I have my intrax on my supra since they came out. They say it lower its 1.8fr and 1.4 in the back, but my droped 2.2" in the front and 2.0" in the back. The shocks I had were kybs but the blow out. I went with BILSTEIN adj and the car drive like...
If anyone want to come to the car meet at daytona you should come. Cuz I'm the only mk3 supra that goes. Its every thrusday nite starting 9:30pm behind the the steak&shake and on the side parking lot of Daytona Mall on the corner on Nova RD and INT'L speedway. I'm the only mk3 there so more is...
I thought their was going to be alot mk3 supra like mine. When I got there I was like where are all the supras, but the best part was I won the award for Best Supra which surprise me. My first show with my supra and my first win which was awsome.
The Clean white 87 hard top supra at the Sibling Rivalry 5 was mine. The show was great. That was first car show I enter with my supra. I was hoping to have my father 88 silver targa supra there too but sadly waiting on part for 2jz na-t swap. Now for the next Sibling Rivalry we will have both...
