U got it! I forgot the difference too. It has been 6 months since i did mine, but yeah, my 1j starter is threaded and the ones i bought from napa weren't. Also how it connected to the flywheel was different.

I am just saying that all 7m ones dont work. Some do and some dont. I purchased 2 different ones that were from 7m's and they didnt bolt up. They were completely different. I finally had to have mine rebuilt instead of finding one. It was about the same price and only took 8 hours.

They are not all the same. The 7m ones dont all work, i have gone through buying them, trying and then returning. They are designed differently. I posted pix of mine after being rebuilt. Some 2j do work.

15 around town, 20 on highway, my highest was 22 on the freeway. Blitz ecu really kills it for me. 14.7 AFR no matter what. cruising in 5th at 55mph, 14.7.

HAHA! Yeah, my alternator died 1/2 way to b-ham in ellensburg, i was stuck there for 3 days waiting for a part. Then my starter went out 1 month after the build. the alternator cost me over 700 bucks with motel billz and tow. It was horrible!

Well, i sometimes like posting on there and they also have the search working now, so it is a good resource. I don't use it much though. I just dont like being banned.

I have heard bits and pieces over the years, but also most of us have used the site to dream. I know i have. And i think that Mark wants to make it great again.
