I would guess that one of your intercooler pipes would have maybe popped. That should definitely kill the boost. Check all the piping. Do you have hard pipes or stock pipes? If you have hard lines, get t bolt clamps asap. :)

I installed my 2jz ones 2 years ago with out gasket maker and i havent had a single problem. It still is very smart to use the gakset maker for extra protection.

o2 sensor wouldnt even cross my mind. Most cars run decent for years with a bad one or one disconnected.
