I have 17x9.5 +50 all around, with 275/40's on them, they don't rub at all. Stick that 20mm further toward the outside of the car... you're gonna be fine. Should look pretty good too, at least in the back. Not sure about the front, they *might* stick out a bit.

Power steering? Really? If you're not running 275 or wider tires up front, and you're not a little girl, I would think you'd be ok... I used my 88 as a daily driver for a LONG time without PS... Actually came to appreciate the feedback more than the ease of steering.

Pics of your setup might help? If I understand you correctly, you just want to add a pair of tweeters to your car? I've seen people attach them to the inside of the door mirrors, on the little triangle things... Seems as ideal a place as any to me, and it's not too far from the door speakers. ;)

This used to be a common swap for Miatas back in the 90's, but they've all since swapped to the GM LS engines (for a good reason). However, that said, if it'll fit in a Miata, I can't see it NOT fitting in a Mk3.
