Possibly your actuator is sticking, this happened to me on occasion on my old 88. Try pushing up on the bottom of the metal rod of the actuator a few times and see if it unsticks itself. ;)

Newer Cobalts (09+ I believe) are turbocharged, same motor that was in the Solstice GXP and Sky Redline. 2.0 DI Turbo Ecotec, 260hp. Seem like pretty good little motors if you ask me, about up to 1999 Nissan SR20 standards. :p

Mine smoked for a few days... course, I also happened to forget to tighten one of the coolant hoses all the way, so it was keeping it wet haha... :p

Most cars also let heat into the car unless you have the temp set to a lower setting... Chevies are notorious for that, I was rather pleased that I could drive my 88 without having any air coming through the hvac at all. :) So, if I set the hvac controls to 65, and I *don't* have the valve on...

I have a similar problem but mine is more due to the fact that the heater valve is out of the system right now (the valve that lets coolant into the heater core, or bypasses it entirely, mine exploded), and there's always hot coolant running through my heater core, just kinda radiates out... I...

Isn't a 60-1 a different rear housing for the ct26?
