How to adjust e-brake for an 88

http://www.cygnusx1.net/supra/library/TSRM/br/BR_43.html Look at step #2, that's the adjuster. You push on the spiked wheel, to loosen or tighten the pads, through the hole on the face of the brake drum. If you've already tried that then either you need new pads, new rotors or they need...

    Apexi Power Intake (Cleaning)

I haven't had to clean my Apexi yet, but I just figured on cleaning the way I've used on other similar filters before. Fill a bucket with warm water, add about 2 tsp of baby shampoo, submerge the filter and let it soak for a minute, then tap it againt the bottom of the bucket to knock free...

Tein SS, how are yours lasting?

Yeah, and if you did have to send them in how many miles did you have on them before they needed serviced?

    best mod yet

The IS300 shifter requires some modification, a spacer and removing the two side pegs, but it can be done. I'm just still considering my options.

    best mod yet

I've thought aboutdoing something similar, but I was afraid the welds might not hold up the non-stop stress I'd put it through. Did you shorten the top shaft? Looks good! Can't wait to hear how it holds up!

does water cool the same as antifreeze?

Absolutely! Think boiling point. 100°F is VERY low, gonna have a lot of air (ok, steam really) in that system very fast.

    Need a little advice (I'm a newbie)

Have him get a temp tag/registration for it.... it's only a couple bucks here on CO. Hell, I had temp tage on my car for 9 months, and my friend I got it from had temps on it for 4. Also, if he's willing to let you, read the spark plugs. That'll tell you ALOT.

Poll: SOGI Shifter mod worth it?

Personally, I'd like to know if it's possible to do a slightly more sophisticated SOGI type mod. Can you seperate the two shafts, cut 1"-1.5" off both halves, then re-cement the two? The only other part I'm still trying to figure out is if you cut off the lower stem (the one with the...

    thinking shark fin

I agree with "aye mate". Unless you could hide it, mount it under your spoiler or something, I'd pass. But then I'd still want to hide a stubby euro.

climate control fuse? or just bad?

From what I've found, most of the older units are in need of a rebuild as well.... if you're picky.:icon_wink

climate control fuse? or just bad?

Well, anything's possible... I'm sure I could do it, it's simply a question as to which is simpler, desoldering and replacing the switch or tearing the little bastard apart and cleaning the contacts. I myself find the replacement easier. As for the GLUE?! huh? There's no glue in either of...

climate control fuse? or just bad?

Sounds like the button's oxidized.... Precisely the reason I kept my old pre89 CC..... same buttons..... kinda tricky to swap though.

Tein SS, how are yours lasting?

Yep, that's exactly where I'm coming from. As I said I was looking at getting B+G's if I decide to pass on the Tein SS.... but if they're inclined to sag I think it'll be worse than your H&R's. Aren't they -1.6" all the way around?

Ok, why? You have a set? Which model? How long you had them?

Tein SS, how are yours lasting?

I've seen quite a few posts about people's initial thoughts of these coilovers, but how well do you like them now that they've been on your car for a while? Are they holding up well? Are there any problem, common or uncommon? I desperately need to put something on since my stock springs are...

    My poor baby needs work...

yep, a bad speed sensor.... it's making the abs ecu think one of your wheels isn't moving with the others and it's trying to compensate. EDIT: oh and the sensors are in each wheel's knuckle, not the tranny.
