Damn you're good.
Let me know when you're planning on steaming, we'll have a party. :D Of course it's easier to do on my car. Spraying with a pump sprayer used for misting plants works great. ;)
Not that I know of.
I've been planning on tackling it soon, but I've got too much other stuff going on right now and no garage to work in in the evening.
I have been talking with another owner who's working on getting it going. There are some problems and it's been relayed to me that Bob...
Yup, seafoam... aka naptha. If you don't like your seals I'd go buy some. ;)
There are plenty of viable products which will help, but on an old car with a lot of build up you're going to be using a lot and over a significant period of time... better off just completely cleaning them out when...
You can't just turn off the injectors to a couple cylinders and expect an increase in mileage... remember, unless you can keep the exhaust valves for the cut cylinders open you're still wasting power having to compress the incoming air.
I really need to either find a place and some time to polish my engine components or pick up a spare set of... oh, everything to polish and then swap in.
I've yet to see a tune which is so reliable that the Vf doesn't move at all... if you get that going something's more likely wrong than anything. A moving Vf signal doesn't mean much by itself.
Only a 45 mile difference? Could it have been a mixup at the pump? Wrong octane in the tank...
I thought that was about where the stock compression was... I'm just having a hard time seeing how a .5 bump along with +3º advance would cause such bad knock problems... I guess I'm spoiled by the high altitude here. I'm probably at 9.3:1 or 9.4:1, 17.5º BTDC and run 85 octane.
I would think that an effectively designed header would actually help with lower octane fuels as it *should* allow for more scavenging of exhaust gases thus leaving the combustion chamber cooler for the next cycle.
I can't remember for the life of me... what is the 7M-GE's stock CR?
Wasn't there a thread on here before about the different models of Q45 TB and how to tell the difference without having it on hand to measure? (I'm pretty sure it was here.... in that thread they discuss there being TWO different TB's, one 80 and one 90.) I don't personally know for sure but I...
Caribbean Airlines ;) (Well, that would depend on if you're going lean or rich... simply put check to make sure you don't have leaks in the intake and vacuum system.)
wiggly???
Where would one fit a 24" long resonator? The most I'm going to be able to get in my car is one with a 4" x 12" body.
When I get around to it, I'm planning on trying out Aero's resonator. It's actually based on frequency cancellation, no baffles and it's not just a perforated tube inside a...
I had no intention of having you permanently replace the wiring... it was just a suggestion so you'd get it out of your head. ;)
2) Absolutely no idea... and in that case I'd bypass the relay not just the resistor.
