To Drift or not to Drift...

heavy cars are not nessicarily a handicap when it comes to drifting.. you have vipers and mustangs out there drifting pro. you just need more power and have to slow down more comming into turns. Supra's can make the power... just need a good driver and a good suspension setup/tires.

To Drift or not to Drift...

best to learn on an under powered car. if you learn in an over powered car it'll be difficult to drift an underpowered car. learned in an n/a SOHC 240SX. handling the supra now is easy... any car really. give it time, eat curbs (unless your on the track wich is preferable) and go through tires.

To Drift or not to Drift...

i remember you posting something about steering angle and tighter radius turns... steering spacers? also try left foot braking through the turn while still gasing and controling the angle. should help some. clutch kicking also helps kill the turbo lag a bit for slower turns. Also, as far as...

To Drift or not to Drift...

+1 Did this. had 3 240sx's. wrecked one, blew two. Learn in something that isn't your supra. The weight will really throw you off. 240's handle better due to the reduced weight and the near 50/50 weight balancing. You can learn in the supra but i recommend a really open and empty lot...

    Unleashing The Beast... (56K Beware!)

enjoyed a good laugh this morning at my own expense. feel kinda stupid to be honest. Both cams are on and installed. I checked clearances and realized that they seemed to be on the tight side. Now, coincidentaly, I take a look at a measurement conversion chart that was shipped along w/...

    Unleashing The Beast... (56K Beware!)

Its great to have spare parts. Installed the intake cam and in an attempt to incorrectly turn the cam to have it @ TDC, i pried on the front of the cam by placing a flathead between the stud that aligns the cam gear and where you bolt the gear to the cam and the cam cracked right above the...

    Unleashing The Beast... (56K Beware!)

Ok, removed all the the shims from their lifter buckets and so far I have I1, I8, I9, and I12 that I was able to re-shim because some of the old shim thicknesses applied to the above valve shims. Im expecting a decent paycheck this friday, so im gonna try to order the rest of the shims...
