I burnt my #1 piston. i beleive i had a blown head gasket...but wasnt sure...and i had an old school knob AFC i was trying to tune with, 550/lex, but no wideband yet.
I was racing, the car got Hot...i let it cool down for a minute, but deffinatly not enough and i know it was running lean...
AND try and do it yourself, i dont think you would be satisfied and unless you know how to take it apart, and put it back together and balance it and stuff...
i was gonna get a upgraded ct...then woke up one night and said F that, im gonna go for broke, and bought more of a real turbo.
And...
well it looks the same, clean that nasty goop off there and get a real gasket tho for sure.
but thing for you to do, is put it on and see if it fits.
doesnt look like the wheel is any bigger than stock (43mm)
do you got a pic of the exhaust side?
if its from a 3sgte motor, the wastegate would be different, like a duel entry. its actually smaller than the ct26 on the supra.
you have to watch out when buying them, cuz people think they are the same, and they arent.
of course it would be alright, no big deal, besides you might hit fuel cut a little earlier if it really was bigger, but are you sure its not from a 3sgte motor?
any bigger turbo will make more horsepower than a ct26 on 10psi.
when i got my 61 trim, on 9psi i was hitting fuel cut and with a ct26 i was hitting fuel cut at 15psi.
you will have to send your ct26 off to get rebuilt or upgraded, dont think you can get a new one at Toyota anymore...unless...
i keep track of everything i bought and how much it cost. not when i bought it and all...
But this May 18th i will have had my car for 4 years...
and spent about $10k excluding the price i bought it for....yikes...and i think...damn all that money and my car is how it is now!? wtf!
wish i...
Ok sounds like a Deal. I trust you more than i trust some other people.
I went to www.mdcmotorsports.com and there are a lot of places...Are you Jeff?
Anyway, I live in New Mexico.
Can you give me your information so I can send it off next week?
thanks,
Jonathan
well why would the back plate be messed up?
Also, if the housings needed to be machined, how much would that bring the cost up to? just so i know what im looking at if it is....limited amount of money here...
Also, i have an oil return line that is a heat resistant hose that has a barb...
well it doesnt have a lot of shaft play, just minimal, but more than i like. the blades do not his the housing. the wheel turns fine, it didnt make any noise or anything. it just smokes. lol
