Had the same issue with my 88 and we were able to fix it by toying around with where wiring was grounded to, etc... I think in my case it was an issue with the stereo deck's ground. No biggie, I think it's kinda neat sounding haha.

Just the VVTI 1j, nothing particularly special. The JZ series was basically Toyota's small block equivalent to the rest of the world... Just because they stopped making the Supra doesn't mean the JZ was killed off. ;)

Someone rewired mine to blink (car came with bubble style), and always found that kinda neat, almost modern... That said, I never minded the look of the flat style I had on my 88. :)

Only thing I'm concerned about Rodel, is where the fenders meet the bumper on the sides there. Is that going to transition smoother, or is that just up to us to figure out?

50°C = 122°F, so that's definitely hot. I will say this, driving in Arizona and Vegas, when the weather is that hot, I would see average coolant temps of around 215-220F (~100-105 C), but that was with a rather weak fan. I would suggest trying to fit a fan setup that can flow over 4000cfm if...
