You post a thread like this without any pictures?
This fuckin' guy... :p
I think a buddy of mine might have this on his car actually... I'll have to check his firewall plate to find out for sure.
Holy crap man... I've seen some pretty excessive setups, but I'm surprised that fits, height wise... Little bit much for my needs/taste, but a little bit of extra oomph is always nice. Should post this in the "show us your trunks!" thread in this section. ;)
I'll probably run the rear a bit higher than it sits now. It is mostly level front to rear now, so a bit more height in the back should help nip the understeer as well as settle camber where it needs to be. :)
Lonnie, that would be from an early Z31, 84-85 had them IIRC. Only thing is, I believe they were functional on those cars. Not to be a downer, but not sure what it would do where yours is positioned... maybe allow some cool air in to get some of the exhaust heat away from the engine and out the...
You know, like the v6 Mustangs... speed limited to 155 because their driveshafts have a nasty tendency of breaking around the 138mph barrier. ;)
I believe the carbon has a higher threshold for critical speeds (lighter weight playing the biggest factor I'm guessing), so you would be able to get...
No bias in this post. Check his sig. ;)
The initial cost of an LS might be higher, but getting a 1uz up to the same power level without boost levels that playing field quite quickly...
OP, see that "how to live with a Supra" thread linked in my signature. You should read that. Gives you an idea of what you can expect, quality of life speaking.
Boostmonger is indeed harsh, but like you said, it is a very fair assessment of what to expect when things are a bit rough in the...
Suprarunner/Jason, that answered my questions. Glad there are people like you guys to push the Supra boundaries a little. Mind my asking what track you do your testing/tuning at? I'm up here in Rock Springs, a weekend trip down there wouldn't necessarily be out of the question...
I'm still letting the PS3 crank away now and then. Have a little over 50 units completed. :)
I forget what "team" it is signed up on though. Might be the PSM (Playstation Magazine) team, been a subscriber of theirs for 15 years now. Playstation is probably the only thing that my loyalty goes...
Really nice handling though, always did like driving it when I got to. Usually when my crap was broken haha...
Thought you guys had to replace some of the engine/trans mounts at one point?
Honestly, I'm starting to lean toward the 1zz being one of the legendary Toyota engines. Buddy of mine...
At first, I thought your "list" was missing or something... then I got the joke. Good weekend, and happy hunting! :p
Not gonna lie, your car is sweet, but your buddy's car... damn that thing is sexy. Normally I prefer the liftback too! Question is though, how quick is his car? I can imagine...
Just going to throw it out there:
Front plates are silly. If you REALLY need to see my plate number, get behind me like every other cop that has ever pulled me over. I'm still debating what I will do as far as a front plate goes for the car getting all the widebody bits. Not exactly keen on the...
I'm probably going to use your car as a reference point as far as wheel fitment goes. Ideally I'd like 1° at the most in the rear. 2° would be fine for up front for me though. :)
Reason being, the roads here aren't exactly a nice clean surface, traction can be its own battle around here...
