    weird noise might be the trans.

    Because I dont know how it sound, I'll guess, maybe there is something touching driveshaft? But if you really know that this sound comes from gearbox, then it means that your Synchros are toast.

    you can fabricate ceramic synchros, these should add up to it's life a bit. What are your power goals?

    as mentioned above, rebuild your turbo if you want good results and longivity. Your ebay turbo wont last any longer then one oil change...

    lol, sry, I'm a bit tipsy :D Is there any use of it in cooling system? There are no "dangerous" deposits/debris or what ever what could harm the engine. Well, OK radiator could get clogged by time, but thats a different story ;)

    yep, it's basically unbolt/bolt job ;) Bearings aren't hard, just consumes more time, because you have to remove brakes, then latter on bleed them and so on, but its ~2h job.
