I'm doing this conversion sometime this week. once my post 89 stuff gets here. I'm hoping to get some bolts drilled out though as when i took off the pre-89 bumper cover most all the bolts snapped flush off.
Will try to get pictures if i can find a digi cam.
Thanks man. Can't wait to get to the tear down process. and get all this stuff fitted on. I wouldn't think the bumper would be different , atleast not different enough to not be able to put the 89+ front bumper on over it anyways. :naughty:
If I remember correctly the following is what all i'm buying off him.
-89+ Front Bumper Cover
-89+ Turns
-89+ Grilles
-89+ Fogs
-Styrofoam Piece that sits between the bumper cover and the steel bumper
-Any brackets that are needed for fitment.
He's a pretty sharp cookie it sounds to me. He is...
Thanks for the pic, helps out alot. now whats the best way to get to them. I got an 89+ front bumper cover coming next week i'm gonna fit on. Should i just remove the nose panel piece or is that doing more work then needed. if i need to them i need to find a link to remove the nose panel.
Mind...
Yep thems the ones. I would have asked this in the bumper removal threads but they were too old to reply anything in em. and i'm not that great with those schematic types pics.
From what I read i have a few bolts for the splash guards in the wheel wells. remove the grille and turn signals...
Can I request a pic of the two 17 mm bolt locations on the front bumper. I've been told the general location but can't find em or maybe they right there but i'm not thinking it's them or something. Thank much.
True but I'd probably get something confused and/or lost, lol. If i could pick up a full set of SG interior then i'd just scrap all the interior as is. But i'm waiting on another CF thread to see what all is offered for the int that way i know what i Need to buy and what i don't need to buy. lol.
Personally i've always said, don't knock it till you've seen the finished project. Were just talking headlights here. fairly simple thing to change. it's not like were talking about deleting brakes or removing seatbelts.
oh..... and his headlight thing is an aesthetic thing to btw... so long...
Just curious gentlemen. But what have you fellas that have had these paint jobs paid? I'm about to start on my car through a local shop and they say with stripping everything and all new trim and mouldings, and re-strengthening the frame, i'm looking at about 8k-10k depending. Now I don't...
