I did Platinum NGK's with new wires. Although I was running Denso's before, the NGK's are a great replacement, and you might as well put in new wires when you do this.

There. The black/white wire that is OUTSIDE of the plastic tubing. THAT'S probably the power wire we need. Hey Crisp, take a pic when you get the chance of where that black/white wire attaches to the back of the HKS. That will probably be the solder point we need. And, AWESOME WORK...

Yup, we're all gonna have to figure this one out. Anyone with a lit HKS with power wire, can you post a pic of the back of your unit? Apparently a wire needs to be soldered in to make the unit work as it should.

I read up on that blinking, and it's when the TEMS system errors out. I guess I must have a bad ground then, because you don't even have yours grounded and it definitely needs to be. You might have to pull your wrapped area apart and look for the straight black wire inside that to wire it back up.

I PM'ed the original owner, and he said the same thing, that this harness never had a separate plugin for power. It's quite possible that different years of the HKS had the extra plugin (probably the older ones), and some didn't (newer maybe?). I suspect my ground is wrong although I did ground...

This also explains why there was no lights to the controller on any of the buttons, without direct power to the controller, it's not responding as designed. I'm determined to make this work!!! (Especially after spending $300!!) :: angry ::

Funny. The wires I have for mine are the big harness with the dual ends for the TEMS system and the black ground you just mentioned. It does NOT have a 12VDC third wire that I would imagine plugs into the small power harness where the old TEMS controller was. Now I'm probably going to need a...
