I used to work at a pizza joint. Pizza can sit out for an incredibly long time and still be good. It really depends on what kinda pizza it is though when it comes to whether or not it needs to be reheated.

Have you made sure that your screws aren't backing themselves out? Every so often I have to go through and tighten mine back up in order to keep mine from leaking. I know that sounds really basic but it is a good thing to check and eliminate.

Zip ties ;) But no, to seriously answer your question - hose clamps work really well. Some wraps that you can buy also have special ends that you can just link together. Once you get working on it you will figure it out really fast.
