I'm going to build spare head that will be used in my next rebuild... So I have two JDM heads and trying to figure out, what to build.

You have bad wiring/connectors. Period.
When you change plugs, you move wires so contact appears... When engine gets hot - things expand and contact disappear again.
Your wiring is too old. Time to replace it or repair. Some broken wires (inside insulation) can cause a lot of problems.
Rewire ignition harness and your problems will go away.

are there any fuel tuning device? When I was running Lex AFM without SAFC, I was hitting FC at 18psi on T3/T4 (small enough) turbo. Lex+550 run very rich at high RPM/boost, so you can take away some fuel and get some more psi before fuel cut.

So, have anybody solved wheel-hop problem? If yes, then post full list of parts changed please (including brand names and catalog numbers).

One more little question: what do you think about running Bosch without recirculating it back to pre-turbo intake? I'm going FFIM, so recirculating back to accordion hose will be trouble... So, I'm going to put breezer (small air filter) to one port and connect another...
to Adjuster: Do two bosches handle T70 well? Haven't you compressor surge at low boost levels? How much psi are you running? Are you sure they do not leak after 20psi?
PS: I'm going the similar way, but have been told, that bosch has too soft spring and leaks after 20psi.
Why? ECU just controls timing advance and amount of fuel. If they are ok, who cares is it stock or standalone? Of course, making stock ECU run adequate settings is not as easy and safe as standalone, but it's another story...
As for detonation... Doesn't it damage pistons, not rods? Or may be...
I'm in the same boat. Lots of smoke on startup but nothing after warm up. Oil is clean (no milkshake). Compression is good. No bubbles in radiator. Coolant doesn't disappear... Valve seals have been replaced about 5K miles ago...
