I've finally installed long waited 67dbb turbo and now I'm very scared...
When I shut engine off, I hear turbo still spinning for about 20 seconds. That's ok, I guess. But I don't like the sound that turbo produces after engine turned off... It's like steel...

sounds strange to me... 10* for low boost is too retarded... Actually 7M runs good at about 20* advance at 14psi on pump... Off boost should be about 30* to get better spool-up and gas mileage...
Looks like I misunderstand something... Couldn't you post ignition timing map, please...
Well, actually I haven't money for that solution =( May be I'll get just KS3 and try to use it in junction with Knock Block (I already have).
Anyhow, when I find good working tool for det. listening during road tuning, I'll post some info.

It's all about ignition timing map... Dyno time is very expensive here and I constantly change parts, so need to retune often. That's why I road-tune my engine.
I'm using Link Knock Block with headphones to listen engine, but there is a lot of noise...

I know that our motors has two different kinds of sensors... Green and gray.
I read somewhere that one is wideband (reads all frequencies) and another is narrow-band (reads only bore-specific knock frequency)... Is it true?
If so, what is narrow-band? (green or gray)
Or...
Small hijacking: what is "piston-wall clearance."? Is it difference between piston diameter and bore diameter? Or is it distance between piston and wall on each side?
E.g. piston is 84mm, "piston-wall clearance" is 0.1mm, what bore diameter should be for that? 84.1 or 84.2...

It's not only about look... It depends of your power goals. Custom shortrunner provides more top-end power.
And as for adapter: 2JZ has different flange angle:
So if you use flat adapter plate - intake mani won't look as on 2JZ.

And I assume SupraStick controls it pretty well? Ian, do you recommend suprastick v4 for my application or something else similar? (I have no spare outputs on my engine standalone, so tranny controller should be separate unit)

BTW, couldn't you tell please how much is converting from manual to GM tranny? I'm tired of R154 and going auto, but we don't have any american cars here... so I'm thinking about A340... On the other hand, GM trannys look more buletproof and better for 1/4mile. So, how much...

There are "cheap" manifolds (80$-100$) and pricey ones (150$+ or even 200$+)...
Are there any real difference? Material may be...
