Washed my sup yesterday and took a picture :).... School ends thursday for me so once it over I'm going to start making several changes to this car :p.. Here is one for the memories...
Soo you are telling me that I could actually work with my setup? How do I even go about it? I am thinking of lowering the rpm's back down to normal and going from there but I have no clue where to start. I believe my tps is set right, I have had it checked twice already. My isc is a bit...
I will be honest and say that I did not know that the vent to atmosphere would cause my car to stall while driving/decel... Its a pain in the butt with the a/c on in the summer because the rpm's drop even lower. I raised the rpm's in the throttle body but I know thats going to cause problems in...
Ok, so the bov question has shown its head over and over again.... The other day I was going thru my supra parts and this one little peice caught my attention.... It was my old stock bov, I soon started to sweat with doubt in my heart over what to do next. I know the right thing to do. I know...
:/ dang.... I wish I would found this thread before I got mine from Toyota..... And there I was thinking I was doing the right thing by getting them from Toyota but nooooo There was something better out there...
Mine does not :(.... I used to have an HKS but hated the snap ring...... And lol @ civic, I stopped worrying about them a long time ago. I will admit this thou, 70% of the honda's that have heard my bov have not raced me. I can honestly say that in my experience it has scared more honda's off...
You are right Jet, not even going to try and defend the vent to atmosphere bov dilemma... Recirculating is the answer and would solve all the issues I am having with idle. But the sad truth is that I like the sound of my bov, I honestly like it...... I dont know if I am willing to give it up...
Ahhhhh okay I see.... I'm starting to have second thoughts about it now :/... I have a spare mbc and I guess I could try it but iono, maybe I will just simply get the maf pro $200 box(not the pro). Seems like the cheapest way to do it right. I may try the MBC alone as an experiment thou...
Yeah I am a little worried about it actually holding the rpm's but its a better choice for me at the moment than maf pro (I'm short on money and not experienced enough for it)..... Well since you are here Jet, would the Lexus AFM help this? Just literally putting in a lexus afm and not turning...
Would you mind explaining this to me Jet? I promise to post pictures and step by step instructions if ya help me... Please :).... I read the descriptions but I am just not inderstanding exactly about the manual boost controller part... Basically my understanding is to cut open the vtv, seal off...
Is there any way to get the pictures back on this mod? I would really like to try this out but after reading the directions over and over I am still confused on what to exactly do. I would greatly appricate it if anyone or Op could post pictures of this or help me out with it. PLEASE HELP!!!!
Same thing happened to me, went back to oreilly and ordred a different more expensive brand called Beck/Arnley..... Right off the bat I saw it and it looked 20X better than the one with the long push rod. I'm happy with it :D...... It prob cost the same as an OEM one thou :(.....
Just buy Supra313's car, he must have already taken alot of headaches away from you since this is yout first supra and mistakes are bound to happen so he has also saved you money as well.... Unless that guy is ready to give you a major discount then no deal......
Looks great but it is a little expensive for it being N/A.... If it was turbo I'd say go for it... And about the miles, its what I tell everyone looking to buy an old car. Eventually a rebuild will come sooner or later and if done right the car will not skip a beat for another 20 + years of...
