ok ive been considering window nets for a long time now. first i think it looks cool. my AC is broken and i live in the desert. so that means it never rains and my windows are Always down when not in the garage.
i think it would be a decent anti theft device too(they have ones with locks)...
how else do you get rhino liner on lol i thought it was spray. or ok maybe the new stuff brushes on?
its gotten popular on the motorcycle scene, but i know its not light. cool idea though, i was considering it in my trunk/wheel well area.
i might just gut All the interior trim and go...
i got 6x9 sony speakers on my doors. used the door pull handle space to mount the speakers. relocated the window controls down and out of sight. it doesnt look that amazing, but i like it enough.
ya with a car thats heavy as the supra to begin with. its like trimming nails off a rhino to get its weight down. for me i dont need/use the stuff i took out so no point in keeping it. weightloss is just a bonus for me.
lol mine too,
ac system gone
rear seats
factory speaker pods
spare
washer reservoirs
trunk trim pieces
power ant.(was actually heavy!)
i plan to gut the interior, pull the dash totally out. going to do old school sheet metal setup for minimal guages/controls.
where do you weigh it at. id be curious what mine clocks in at. ive been pulling junk out that i dont need ever since i got the car. i know i havent saved any drastic amount but still its something ;)
i cant even See the connection though. its so far down and behind the motor from what i can tell. might have to enlist someone with smaller hands to get to it lol.
ok, ill have to ask him if he has the experience with this kinda stuff. hes an honest guy so i dont think hed get himself in over his head and risk my life lol.
how well do the bolt in cages hold up or are they more for looks.
for roll cages does the welder have to have experience in that sort of thing to do it right? a friend of mines dad is really into metal work. he builds tow trailers and stuff like that(and works for Honeywell). ive been considering putting a cage in mine and having that guy weld it for me(free...
ive seen hondas parked outside walmart on a friday night(their lil gathering spot). they had and i kid you not, PVC roll cages setup. faux rollcage with then 4 people pilled in with their heads resting against the pipes. i dont know about you but i was seriously impressed with that.:squirt-mo
almost a year ago my heater core started leaking. had greasey windshield and damp carpet. i was in a pinch and never once use the heater or defrost so i just bypassed the hose.
however i just spliced heater hose to the existing hoses on the motor. i cant for the life of me see how to get to...
well i cant upgrade turbo stuff since i have no turbo lol. also cant upgrade tranny/motor when its getting swapped. i see what your saying though but i guess im looking for suggestions more specific to my car setup.
i did just check and sure enough i have LSD.
i was looking at the batt relocation but is it Really worth it. i mean isnt that more of a track issue having the batt in the rear? seems to me moving the batt isnt really worth any gains performance wise.
by the way i do appreciate all the info and suggestions, got me thinking about stuff...
well i got a hardtop with tems. the guy i bought it from i think said it had the sport package, but really i didnt believe a word he said so i dunno lol. ill have to crawl under there and see i guess....
