Well considering this is as far as ive ever torn into Any motor, im not expecting a smooth start up lol.
im pretty sure im going to have to pull the entake back off. i wasnt 100% on the injector wire order so thats 1 possible problem. also, any other random wires under the in take i might have...
ok, im putting my motor back together after bhg and cant find a wire. on the intact side under the intake. it comes out of the same bundle as the starter terminal 50 wire. its square has 4 connections seems green or clearish green.
i cannot see where this wire goes.
87 na at
So my 87 na has had a blown(getting slowly worse over a long time) gasket, so i decided to replace and do it all correctly the first time.
I thought i had it all planned out so well, so i thought... I had all the parts ordered, most came no problem some took a few weeks. Really not a big deal...
i just grab the handle that opens the door(or the inseart around the handle). havent had any problems doing that. who needs a huge handle just to close the door lol
Just thought id post this pic, its not the best custom job. However it does what i wanted, get the 6x9s into the doors. The trim pieces are missing, the window switchs are hidden below the arm rest.
I dont have the tools to go cutting up my other tools lol. Id rather actually have the Correct tool for it(never know when ill need it later). I do have long hex T handles, im not sure if they hold up to the 70lb torque or whatever stock is.
I ordered my set, im doing the HG so might as well upgrade the exhaust studs while the head is outa the car. 60$ is a drop in the bucket, i hate dealing with stripped bolts!
You need to invest in some ratcheting wrenchs it sounds like, those things have saved me so many times. Even a simple crecent wrench should have been easy enough to use on the filter to loosen it.
I have a pair of cotton gloves with rubber coating on the palms for this kind of thing. The rubber grip really helps you hold on to a filter.
One time i couldnt budge a filter on my bike, threw the gloves on and it came right off.
I honestly dont know whats better, running from the cops with your motor about to blow. Or later admitting to it in full detail on a public forum.
Good for you guys though, I love watching car chases on tv.
I sold something recently and honestly i didnt even think about the fees until the buyer was ready to pay. At that point i wasnt going to say 'oh and add 3% to that!!'.
To me when selling, the 3% isnt a big deal. I get my money instantly rather than waiting for a money order to come in the...
That kit only comes with the actual head gasket, timing belt and arp bolts/studs. Doesnt seem to come with all the other misc gaskets that i want to go ahead and replace while its all apart lol.
Theres different types of paypal accounts isnt there? A friend of mine sold me some stuff and i used my bank account and he got hit up with the 3% fees.
I saw a mechanic one time hit the car right in front of where the hood latch would be. I had no idea why until my hood didnt pop up and i hit it a few times, it worked ha.
Try giving it a few whacks, not on the hood but in front just over the latch.
