Why would they take half? They will auction it for whatever they can get, deduct that from your total amount of fees then bill you the remainder. If its in your name you are liable for whatever the total fee amounts to. They can just sell it off to some collections agency if you don't pay and...
I'm no expert just taking guesses here:
Maybe the hose crack had nothing to do with it, maybe that final drive running really hot did the hose in on your way home. I was thinking fan clutch could have been the problem but if it just went away on its own after the hose replacement, that...
I have brembo slotted, they are labeled from brembo as slotted and fit right on. I got them from Raptor Racing off this forum. Unless they are selling blanks that they then slot and sell as brembo slotted, I don't know. I have had no problems though.
When I had a leaking heater core the inside of my windshield kept getting this haze on it. I would clean it and the next day it had a haze again. Fixed the heater core problem and never had the haze again.
I read some where the majority of these cheap ebay housings are actually euro lights(not just euro style). The problem with that is, they drive on the other side of the road. The reflectors meant to light up the sidewalk is on the wrong side so you blind on coming traffic using them here. Not...
I would go back to that shop and ask the guy to point out this bearing plate. When he can't point it out, laugh and tell him you are posting the whole story with the name of the shop all over the world.
I have brembo slotted rotors, porterfield street pads, new OEM pad shims new calipers, SS lines, new master and my braking is now awesome.
I don't have any dusting or squealing of any kind.
Thanks for the thread/info guys. I was just doing some cooling system maintenance and saw this thread and figure might as well. I got my wix housing-24763 and filter-24070 on order. I was gonna go with the marine filter JJ recommends but shipping on that is pricey... Rockauto has the other 2 and...
Thats what happened with my bhg, I hate acting like any coolant problem is bhg but just saying that was my big symptom. Its exhaust gas getting past the head gasket into the coolant, not air trapped.
Check you coolant over flow tank, it probably has oil sludge in the bottom.
I did read about the ford gear oil and thought about it. I figured I would try the redline and see how it acts, if it chatters I'm going to look at a rebuild(or switch to ford oil in the short term).
I swear I read so much and did not see anything along the lines of "its ok to switch to...
I searched in the oil section and only came up with 8 threads with just "differential" in them. I read the Kendall 75W-90 full synthetic gear oil thread also, didn't see anything about going right to synthetic fluids...
I tried searching and couldn't come up with anything, not sure if its just my terms or not.
I'm planning on changing my Diff.(LSD) fluid out with redline 75w90 but not sure if I need to flush it with anything. I didn't think going from unknown fluid right to synthetic would be ok. I don't...
Swapping in a used motor not knowing the history can be worse off than what he has already. It would suck to buy a motor and find out its just as bad off as what he has got then pay to rebuild that.
Buying a used motor and doing just the BHG job to me doesn't make much sense, might as well...
I had a mild BHG, exhaust and a small amount of oil was leaking into my coolant but no coolant in the oil. Heres my parts list, obviously not everything is needed(brake shim kit lol) but it wasn't cheap. Its been running for a few years now no problems with rod knock or anything else. Pays to do...
