Really, wheels and cotter pins are a pain to take off?
I herd the power steering rack is actually pretty easy, a few bolts and it comes right out(with the motor In place).
For the OP, I would flush out the fluid and add the proper ATF fluid back in. If there is a leak find out where it's...
According to the owners manual, you want to start driving as soon as you have proper oil pressure. It says nothing about letting it sit and idle until it's fully up to operating temperature.
Drive slowly at first until your temperature comes up. Usually before I get out of my...
I refreshed my power steering system recently. I used the driftmotion SS line and it seems to be working great. I went to napa with my old hoses suction and return hose, we matched them up so I'm not sure on the sizes. I bought a foot extra just to be safe, it's cheap enough not to be a big...
I went with a shaft masters 1 piece aluminum and am happy with it. Great quality and fast shipping not to mention the price.
I have no problems with it, no vibrations at any speed that I've been up to yet.
When you say it glides around perfectly without grease, does that mean that you didn't use any? Or, does that mean it was fine before you applied the grease?
Make sure you apply the grease, maybe that's why its popping off down the road.
Is there any downsides to running solid mounts? Are the vibrations only a discomfort thing or can any actual damage be done? I've always wondered about it...

I have a Top Speed exhaust on my NA and like it a lot. I know most here would hate it since its stupid loud at WOT and I have no power to back it up with. It has a really nice deep grumm-mmm-mm-mm-mm-mmBBbbb-bb-bbb-bllle when down shifting. It does have an optional silencer that I put in often...
Not to hijack but...
How big of a deal is the jiggle valve removal? I recently freshened up my cooling system and put in a new oem thermostat and left the jiggle valve in. I have no problems over heating or air in the system or anything else.
I meant to remove it before I put the thermostat...
I'd say buy it and fix what's wrong with it not replace the motor unless you get into it and see something drastically wrong. For 300 bucks it can't be that bad off.
It depends on the speed and how hard you press the brakes, so it may seem random. Or I could be totally wrong but I really thought that's normal behavior.
It all comes down to how much they want for it. An elderly neighbor who prolly will never look to drive it again might sell it dirt cheap, especially with all the obvious problems.
Not supra related but... I changed the oil on my jeep and it's easier if you unplug the oil pressure sensor to get at the filter. I forgot to plug it back in and go to drive to work and I got 0 oil pressure and freak out. It took me a second to also see the 'check gauges' light which right away...
Isn't that what it's supposed to do. Its going to the stiffest setting when you brake to prevent nose dive. There's a way to hard wire it so it stays in the stiffest setting all the time.
I'll have to ask why type of clamps he's using, prolly just worm screw type. I thought blowing the IC coupler would cause the car to not run. He drove it on the freeway after it blew the first time, then drove a few days after that too.
