the cranks are the same for ge's and gte's. 89+ 7m's have the 7m crank which is heavier but better balanced. pre-89's have the 6m crank, which is lighter but is less balanced. im not sure about them being forged. gte blocks have the oil squirters, ge did not. im pretty sure thats the only...
im not looking forward to changing the clutch in a shop without a lift...but its better than paying $400 for someone else to do it. i just cant wait to drive this thing..it looks like a lot of fun :)
i found this '84 p-type locally for $800. it needs a clutch but it seems to run pretty good. it starts right up but idles at 2k, it has no hesitation at all when i give it some gas tho :naughty:

mine's the same way, she's really into domestics though. she LOVES going fast or any kind of chaotic driving.....
and i think its safe to say it turns her on judging by her behavior after a cruise;]
