Think U meant to say the best exhaust is no exhaust on a turbo car. and I did explain already. Im my experience running really aggressive timing only helped off boost throttle response, but spool wasnt affected. every setup is different, this was just my experience.
When I had my built honda, on the dyno, with my AEM EMS we upped timing to 35*in vacuum to try spool quicker, but it didnt make the turbo spool faster, but made the car alot more responsive. running open downpipe however, decreased lag significantly, now while a 4" exhaust is big, adding a...
Dre the remedy for reducing lag is to open up the exhaust. timing isnt going to make a big difference in spool up. reducing back pressure is the major key in reducing lag.
These people have a Tomei 1jz rod which calculates to about $1100 USD

and carillo already made a custom 1jz rod, they might still have the specs.
Joe your a moron..
Did he see any additional wear.. the answer is no. but thats not even the point. doe steh method work, the anwser is yes you moron! 5 people who actually did it, said that it works, now why are you arguing? it works. end of story.
Tissimo, brake boost will give you a better jump as you can launch at full boost if you choose, but it takes longer. this is just to get you going quickly.
you rode the cluch, thats NOT how to do it.
BINGO!. you broke traction because the wheels saw more instant tq. you did it on stock twins at which was already designed to spool quickly and at 3000rpms where it takes very little throttle for the motor to get loaded. you applied 70% throttle when...
