I currentyly have a 1jz powered 240sx it weighs 3130 lbs I had a Driftmotion action 6 puck with new OEM pressure plate. and after two hard launches at the drag...
I dont know what to tell you, but I had to use a bigger belt. my brand new OEM toyota 2jz belt was too small. the Dayco belt that I gave you the part number for is what I had to use.
there is a Slight difference between the 1j and 2z oil feed in the heads..
Oil feed area of headgaskets. 1J on top, 2J on bottom
1J head, oil feed area
2J head, oil feed area
2J block, oil feed area
1J block, oil feed area
Timing belts can jump teeth for a number of reasons. they dont have to snap. and for the record the lift is about 9.3mm if I have to go with a cometic thats slightly thicker than OEm let me know. but I would prefer to make the motor non interference.
Block: 2jzGE
Will OEM GTE Headgasket be enough put the the motor in non Interference area with Crower Small core 272's? I know the 1jz head bumps compression up slightly.
Tell me if I need to go 1.5j or just go down to a .70 backhousing..
