Nice to meet you again, Tonuch...along with a few other car guys we know.
Great show, a lot of nice cars, nice people. I took some pics but later I'll have to transfer them to my photobucket to post. It was a beautiful warm, sunny day, so I also refreshed myself over at the bar/restauant...
I'm going. Another local MkIV buddy who I expected to go with me is not going. I read one of the organizers post on TST forum that they're expecting a large turnout...:
If you're asking about the Peddler's Village show, based on previous years I'd say it is still in high gear at 2pm...probably start winding down after 3pm.
maybe something to do this weekend before we organize our own "endless summer" meet?
I haven't found any info about it here, but I noticed it's listed on quite a few other car forums including the local TST forum...there's a meet/show I'm gonna try to make this Sunday Aug. 24. Every...
I'll make every effort to attend this one, too.
Another location idea that I go to once in a while has a real nice parking lot and view of the river and usually hardly anyone else around....it's in West Conshohocken right along the river next to the ASTM building. A pretty good miniature...
The problem I have with Jim's is that the last three times I got cheesesteaks there the roll was a huge disappointment, totally spoiled my taste experience...as most would agree, the roll plays a HUGE part in the overall cheesesteak experience.
Talk about bread rolls, let's not leave...
I'll be on vacation but I'll be thinking of you guys.
I hope you all can make notes of your cheesesteak experiences at Tony Luke's so maybe in the near future Philly Supras can have another cheesesteak run up to Steve's Prince of Steaks so we find out who's really the best.
It would be great fun and I'd be in on it already if I knew my plans. But since we're still making family vacation plans, I'm not sure yet. But it looks like we're going in Aug., so I'll post back when I know more.
I voted track rental since that would be the most fun, but that will take a...
I have a friend who had strep throat and left it untreated, he got some kind of "minor" brain inflammation from it and now has a tick disorder probably for the rest of his life. In spite of general advice to minimize use/over use of antibiotics, I don't think there is any way to treat it...
I think so but not 100% sure ...reason being that the GTE filter actually mounts to the stock oil cooler and I'm not sure how that OEM oil cooler attaches to the block. I haven't been here long enough to know the policy of supramania about posting links to other "competitive & less...
Since I'm seeing "...a Scheib exclusive..." am I right to assume this is Earl Scheib? I know the name but not familiar with the quality of their work but I see on their website ( http://www.earlscheib.com/stores.php ) that there are 9 of their shops within about 140 miles of you vs. 300 miles...
For some strange reason, racegas does not seem to be going up anywhere near the rate of normal pump gas. Sunoco 112 octane was still $8 to $8.25/gal this week; a couple weeks ago I got C16 still at $11/gal. Compared to pump, this now seems like a bargain.
This thread title says "...50+..." so does that mean I get an AARP discount or what? In any case, discount or not I love ripping around in go karts. But that date is too far in the future for me to commit; I'd like to join in if my family won't be away on vacation then.
I think I'm the first to post pics since I'm less than 10 min. from the park ...plus I need more posts so this forum doesn't delete me for being a zero-poster...this should be my post #4.
It was real nice meeting all you guys today. Thanks for everybody who put it together...I think empera...
I was just looking at the map in empera's post #1 and I drive by that area pretty often just cruising around ...so I hope we somehow have that lot reserved since there are often bunches of others cars there and ball games going on, etc.
See you there....damn, now I got 2 posts! I'm on a roll.
