    7mgte on the dyno

They sound about right to me. I had similar mods when i dyno'd, and was getting about 260rwhp at 8psi.

    86 MK3 7m-gte Track star prep

No. You need something to control injectors, spark...everything. Certainly you can crank it to check compression, though.

    7mge quarks...

Lets just keep it simple and say that if you pu a 1/2 qt extra in the motor, you'll find the oil level is just above the full mark on the dipstick. This is all really just a precaution against starving the oil pickup tube during hard cornering or acceleration.

    7mge quarks...

Quarks? Lol. For quirks, there's not too many, just a couple of strong suggestions. Retorque your head gasket to ~72 ft-lbs. Run a 1/2 qt extra oil, and always check oil level at the beginning of the day. Keep your coolant system in top condition/ topped off, and use only toyota red coolant...

Project Git 'er done!: Stages 1 through5- ***14 YEARS....Approaching the finish line!!!***

Hmm. I cant say as to how the rack feels yet of course, but i had no leaks, no peeling paint, and no overspray issues. Hopefully, it'll work properly as well.

ma-70 carbon fiber twill weave & plain weave parts.

Very excited to hear about this. I think the wing is a novel idea, because it is not simply a reproduction of an oem part, but rather it would be YOUR wing, your design. Instead of making a Regulus repro nose panel, you would be producing a Carbonworks spoiler. Also, i'd still love to see a...

Maft Pro wont start no spark

So, the connection at the cps is bad? If so, go to Driftmotion. They sell a new connector if you need one. Glad you figured this out. :)

    1987 7mgte ECU. Symptoms of a bad ECU :evil5:

Ah, Venom injectors. Nuf said. I would do exactly as SC61 said. You might not have an ecu problem. What codes are indicated?

    Spitting under Boost

You might definitely be running lean then. Which means you could be just one WOT away from a melted set of pistons. I would richen it up in the meantime, and get my ass to a dyno shop, or install a wideband already.

TUBBIE! What up? I didn't know you were still on here. You still have a shop?

Project Git 'er done!: Stages 1 through5- ***14 YEARS....Approaching the finish line!!!***

Ok, I lied. I don't really want to post pics of a dirty cylinder head, till I have some real progress on it. I'm pretty much done with polishing up the intake side, and I really only plan on cleaning the exhaust side. Then, I'll lap the valves in, reinstall the springs an retainers, and...

ma-70 carbon fiber twill weave & plain weave parts.

I like it, but realize that the Supra version would have to be slightly larger, so that you could use the oem mount points, which sit further inboard.

Project Git 'er done!: Stages 1 through5- ***14 YEARS....Approaching the finish line!!!***

Got the head back from the shop today, looks good. I started the port&polish work, but it'll take another day or two, and then I can install the 7/16 exhaust stud kit, and begin reassembly. I'll post a few pics up tomorrow.

    1986.5 7mge -> 2jzge my very first build.

Did we talk about using a smaller brake diaphragm from an MR2?
  17. supraguy@aol

Lol am I missing a part that bolts on the head?

Emissions requirements ran out on my '88 here in Georgia this year, but just like my '86 MR2, I'll be running full emissions regardless. I think it's silly not to on a road car. After all, it doesn't kill performance at all, and I don't think it impacts mileage much either.
