Wish IJ was here so it wouldve already been answered.
By feeler gauge im guessing you mean the tool for the shim/cam clearnces?
Wouldnt hurt but if theyre going back in order it shouldnt really matter, maybe if its new cams and shims it would.
IIRC auto zone or kragen have a tool thats...
I doubt its rodknock. Try simply changing the oil in the trans and see if that helps.
Ive had my trans make grinding noises that go away after some fresh oil.
75w90 IIRC.
If its a genuine GT4 Alltrac then definitely buy it. If I had one my supra would be gathering dust in the garage...Not that it isnt anyway.
I've hard of a few of them being imported into the states but never seen one in person. PM Jeff he should know.

Anyone else ever hear of this. Says it has use in automotive applications but for what? The only oils I can think of are engine, tranny and diff.
DuPont.
Thats what Ill be using for the blue Supra. They carry alot of OEM colors from about every car manufacturer.

Were all the experience you'll ever need. You dont need that many tools, find a friend or someone you can borrow some from. And to hell with the weather.
