Since Im doing rod bearings as well, I stopped by the dealer ship and had a talk with one of their technicians.
It seems you'll be fine simply swapping out the bearings, you dont have to micropolish the crank and replace the end caps.
Just follow the TSRM to get your bearing sizes and then...
Without over hauling the internals I think Port/polish, BPU and NOS is as good as it gets for the N/A.
You could go way off the normal path and try ITB's, but that means giving up ACIS.
this is for an N/A right?
I dont see why it wouldnt work, You might have to change a few clips around but I cant recall any major changes in sensors.
Or even change all your old sensors over to the new engine.
If you werent so far away Ive got a pretty solid bottom end Im selling for $50.
That sounds almost exactly what I have on my N/A. I took it as rodknock.
thanks to hells legion Im thinking it could've been a plug not firing since it sounds like its coming from the head. Pull the plug wires off one at a time and see if it goes away.
Im just guessing but maybe it could...
Dont lie selling cars in the bay is cake.
You sell it, it gets repo'd and then you sell it again.
I just spent almost all of my months paycheck on a .57 trim.
