Going from memory but I think its something like this on the back of the water pump housing. A pretty big bolt holds it in on the back. Thats a horrible drawing I know. The right side is supposed to be the water pump pulley bolts the center is the housing and the back is the bolt..

I think its shaped like an L and goes about 3" back to a pipe on the back of the water pump housing.

a bit of the gasket material peeled off when I seperated the head and the block after running it a few minutes. Im sure its still gonna seal at 60+ lbs of torque but i was thinking of using a very small amount to fill in for the lost gasket material.

The piston sizes are on the bottom of the block, if theres no excessive wear I'd stay stock...unless you have some extra income and high power goals.

I had new ones but they were all size 1's when I ordered them. Im cleaning the stockers up for my GE since it ran on cheap 87 its whole life.

Would this eat away at the pistons? I dont want to mess with the metals integrity at all. Sorry late reply, I was working on the bosses computer.

How would I go about cleaning the carbon from pistons. I was told soaking them in simple green would work...or boiling them in water?

What about fel-pro HGs? Mine ran for a couple minutes then I pulled it apart (Piston slap) and about a square inch sealed, maybe a 1/2 fingernail deep.
