That is awesome they got the action shot with the hood up!
Is that 300ZX an 86-89 model?
Silly Google doesn't even believe the street I live on exists... I was impressed that Bing had it with in 6 months.
Oh no, are you giving up the Ice Blue Pearl? It is such a nice color! Saw a 86-88 era Celica GTS in that color last night that looked like it had just come off the assembly line!
Hopefully I can make it to a meet, sadly my car is under massive construction at the moment. Found this once I...
So jealous of everyone getting to drive their Supras this weekend!
In my ongoing repair I removed the number 3 valve cover today:
Pretty nice to know I am running a prototype oil cooled spark plug galley...
On a positive note the head bolts appear to be torqued correctly! Looks like...
I agree with this completely!
At the end of it all it wasn't too bad, just frustrating to have to reach into a tight blind area and guide a socket there. (I didn't mind the banjo, that was placed in an ok spot.)
Taking off the downpipe probably would have helped as suggested. I was following...
Finished removing the turbocharger from my car before work this morning. That oil pipe...OMG at the location of that oil pipe...
NA Supra owners are sooooooo lucky :P
A friend sent me this today, kind of nice to know Toyota remembers the good times:

(This is not MKIII specific, if there is a better place for it please let me know.)
Cheers!
Yeah, nothing but Toyota Red for me. But no idea what the previous owner used. He grew weary of Toyota after paying for two head gaskets and started going to scary places like Les Schawb... I know the coolant did not look good when I bought the car.
What I drained out before I started working...
Darn, rust is not good... I just ran a flush about a month ago that seemed to do a lot, but it looks like I am in for more.
Thanks for the info!
Oh, by the way, why is it that yellow green color? I had always though rust was red or white.
I started removing everything cooling system related from my car today and found that the inside of the thermostat housing looks like this:
(Pics are with and without the flash.)
The yellow green stuff just wipes out fairly easy, but I was wondering if it has any meaning? I haven't...
Ah, you are correct, I forgot about that.
But that was disappointing the Toyota guy didn't get your number. I had mine done on 11/06/2010. And like a fool I forgot to ask the guy for the number :( He was pretty cool though, he did a test on one of their "cheap" keys and just let me have it...
Nice! I was lucky, the Toyota dealer here had 3 blanks from the 80's era. So I have a nice new key that matches the period!
The plate was a small rectangular plate that was punched to go on a key ring and was about 5mm wide and maybe 2cm long. It has a 4 (maybe 5?) digit code engraved on it...
With the exception of having to give up the 928 a week earlier than expected and getting no window sticker I was pretty pumped when I went down to the dealership to pickup my S2000. (One and only new car purchase.) It was a good day, other than you have to take it easy on the engine for a while...
Yeah, that is a scan. It was maybe 5mm wider than my scanner so I had to make two scans and Photoshop it together. Then I made most of the VIN disappear in order to protect the innocent :)
Very jealous, I don't have that side piece yours has though! I wonder how much more expensive mine...
