Yeah, spent all weekend putting mine back together and it works, but oil is leaking from somewhere, the exhaust is crazy white, and the engine still sounds weird. Wishing I had just gone to Texas and bought that SC430...
Supra has been on jackstands since late July. I am about to go back out and prime the turbo and then start it up.
Checked everything twice and I feel confident I will be driving soon!
Update: Lots of white smoke from the exhaust, which is new... Oil leaking from somewhere... Couldn't make the...
This brochure contained every model...but I don't think it was the normal full range brochure they give out, as it was mounted permanently to a large display that had pictures of the cars and brochures available to take. (This book seemed like it was made as a part of the display rather than as...
Back when I was first buying cars in 1991-1992 I went to a dealership that had a nice large display with a full range brochure attached to it. This was different from the typical brochures in that it gave the origin of the name of each vehicle. I would say it was almost more like an index. (It...
Ah the CPS. My o-ring and the CPS cover gasket had both turned into hard plastic, so I suspect they had never been changed. It felt really good when I put the CPS back in the engine with the o-ring, so hopefully no leaks. Will definitely be watching it.
I didn't notice damage to the coolant...
I would love it if the ST205 Celica GT Four was available in North America. I would so add that to my Toyota collection as well.
(Of course, this is fantasy land where I have the space and money to do such things.)

Personally I think I would want an 85 MKII to go with my MKIII. But I suppose by then I would feel the need to complete the set and get the other two!
Same thing happened to me when I got my parts ceramic coated. When I mentioned this to the guy working there he said I could call and they can adjust hours to help out. Maybe one of the shops near you could do that?
Ok gotcha, I misunderstood and thought the bolt stripped going in. Still not a good time at all.
Most of my FUUU moments have been in removing something to get to something and seeing the horrible state of the gasket or leaking oil or...well you know :P
Hope someone can get you help on that...
Probably too late now, but I found this thread looking for the same advice!
I used needle nose pliers to gently squeeze the tabs at the front and rear (think front and rear of hood) of the nozzles. It helps to go in from a bit of an angle so you don't damage the part of the nozzle that connects...
Nice! I am at the 3 months of no Supra mark myself.
Started getting parts together this morning to finish the job...WAIT...ordered 2 too few fuel pipe gaskets. Back to waiting on parts...
Yeah, my job situation is part of the evil of tech industry companies. In order to avoid paying benefits they keep a large portion of the workforce on contracts. This means you not only get screwed over by the greedy contract agencies, but then you have to not work for 100 days after working for...
Sounds like a good time. I might be able to make it on the 20th, but it is up in the air. Luckily I will have no job after the 28th, so then it should be easy to come!
