    thanks for the response. Using my own multimeter. Battery after sitting 24hrs 11.2v wont start does click though. Jumped it, 14.1v running on its own. Drove for 15min shut off, does start back up. 12.1v with engine off. Will let it sit a while and check it again. Checked all connections...

    Timing belt seems to be.....

    Not sure what it was, but after loosening the tensioner and fiddling with the belt a bit retorqued the tensioner down and its stayin on track now but he belt is a little frayed on the outside edge where it was rubbin againts the bottom cover. The belt is pickin up some oil from down below also...

    newb doin valve clearances

    thanks for the replies, I will double check them while I wait on a tool to come in. I thought is was odd also, but about half of the exhaust side I couldnt even get a .1 mm guage through and had to go smaller.

    Ok...just checked valve clearances on my 88 n/a tonight. They were almost all out quite a bit. The car runs very well, but the top end was noisy and ticking quite a bit. All but a couple on the intake side had at least .5mm too much clearance. Almost all the exhaust were at least .5 too...

    What else should I do while parts off

    The next week or so I'm going to have valve/cam covers off to check clearance/adjust to hopefully get rid of some ticking and noisy top end. Anything else I should do while I have that stuff off based on your experiences? 88 n/a 200k new HG about 20-30k ago.
