    Confirmed and the taper angles are different so while it might screw in sealing is going to be another matter! Always strikes me as funny how a lot of Japanese motors use imperial thread sizes in obscure locations! (Filter adaptor is 3/4x16 from memory)

    AM: Filter should be fine then! I changed mine out when I rebuilt as I had no idea just how old it was. Let us know how it goes with 12v. (try to make one change at a time then retest so you know just what nailed it as it could be useful for anyone else if they have the same issue)

    Would be worth trying the 12v mod as it might be a dying resistor pack causing it or mayne not going 12v when it's meant to. Check the filter though as no matter what Toyota say it will block eventually! It's also a good excuse to get a Walbro in there as too much fuel never hurts but too...

    AM: It could be leaning out at the top if the filter's block or the pump is laying down! You need a bucket load more fuel up top compared to blasts through the low gears.
