Very welcome!
I've always been a bit freaked by turbo timers so don't own one!
Just don't like the idea of parking Fatty on just the e-brake and letting it run till it shuts off!
CK: Will be following this clutch with interest!
Don't be too freaked by no marcels mine's solid unsprung discs no marcels and a twin and it's very streetable now it's broken in!
LOL ummm the "Oil cooled" thing is a bit of a misnomer the cooling is a by product of the lubrication.
Either way it's bad to shutem down hot mmm-kay <Mr Garrison voice> ;)
Yep if you shut it down right away after a hard pull it will boil the oil the Oil that in there then turn it to carbon and this is the "Coke" I'm talking about.
It's a bad thing as it's very hard and will trash the turbo and is the reason turbo timers were invented (not to mention think of...
I only say this as for years I did "love jobs" for mates never charging and just saying hey "buy me a pizza or something".......
In all that time I may have received 1 maybe 2 pizza's so no longer do this and rarely do outside car work at all these days as there are just too many people with...
Jimi: Just about anything EXCEPT King aluminium bearings......
If everything is right with the lubrication system the bearings should only ever touch the crank on a cold start so they're not as hyper critical as people believe.
Anything is "possible" just depends on what they want to be paid for doing it.
A quality job won't be cheap.
I'd look at alignment and bushings as the cause first as the connectors aren't that critical a part on our cars.
I seriously doubt you could damage a Mk3 by "driving up on a kerb" it must have had a substantial hit at some time!
<ninja edit> You mean the connectors!
Not sure if a frame machine can pull it straight there as it's pretty badly damaged!
