Grab one the the BHG test kits from an autoparts store and find out for sure.
If there are combustion gasses in the coolant you can be pretty certain it's a BHG/cracked head.

If the 04 housing has a bigger nozzle the Wheel would have to be bigger to get the same AR so I'm not sure what your supplier is on about....
(As far as I can find there is only 1 wheel size)
