    Orion's Projekt: Alexis

Thanks for checking mine out. And to celebrate- I'm going to go update my post! PS- If I could do my poly's over again, I would have gotten them in black. Black ones are graphite impregnated,= less chance of squeaking.

    Orion's Projekt: Alexis

Can't be any slower than MY build, lol. Finished phase 1(suspension) back in April, and really haven't done anything to it since...except collect a few parts. http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?154373-Project-Git-er-done-before-the-Mayans-come!-Stage-1...

New car, new project. Asking for advice on my build.

What color are the injectors? If they are upgraded, they may be a different color. OEM's are black. Very few upgraded injectors are plug n play- are the harness clips orginial, or do they look like they were spliced in?

    Installed the DM IC kit

I used a knockoff Tial for 5+ yrs, and it still works like new... but, I guess that doesn't help you much...

    1987 MK3 Resto

A blank cover. Can't remember if you turn CW or CCW to advance timing, but you'll know as soon as you try- the idle will either go up or down.

    1987 MK3 Resto

The fewer belts/ accessories you have connected, the less chance of a whine, so...? Yes, your cps is off. Try loosening the hold-down bolt and advancing it a bit. If you don't have enough room to advance it to get ~800rpm, then you are one tooth off.

    1987 MK3 Resto

#1. Did you tighten up the turbo oil feed and drain lines? That's thge big one that people overlook. Sounds good, but whats that whining sound?

    rebuilding the front subframe -

Hey Steve- Sorry for the late response. I didn't seem to have this issue with my setup. I suggest you measure the length of the sleeves and send that info to Ronnie. He'll know if yours are the correct length. It's certainly a possibility that whoever machines those sleeves for him, had made a...

    Clutch stuck on floor

Depends- Jake- What did you do with your clutch setup? Did you change it out or machine the flywheel? If not, I'd say you can try adjusting it, but it may very well be the slave cylinder as already mentioned. For me, it was the master. I also would suggest looking at the fluid. If it's dark/...

    A/C fixed! or is it?

Generally, cans of R134 come with an incrimental amount of lubricant oil mixed in with it. I'm going to guess you'll be ok, but for a compressor that has sat dead still for 5 years...it's anyone's guess.

    another piston ring question.

Stock rings are fine, but 450 RWHP is nearing the upper limit of stock internals in general.

    knock warning light?

Signal IS the ground, if I'm not mistaken.(Where's Jet jock?) But I dunno if the knock sensor circuit will cause an led to flash

    Subframe bushings?

You still retain the subframe bushings. I'd imagine most of the stress goes there. The oem subframe spacers' main role is to reduce noise and vibration for the occupants.

Some fun with the supra last night

LOL. I was thinking it would have been awesome if you took out the camera on your first spin! PS- editing software on your computer would allow you to delete the part where you're running back and forth to turn on and off the camera. otherwise, cool.

coolant being pushed out only under load

It almost sounds normal. If coolant is being pushed out by combustion gasses, that would mean you could test for the presence of those gases. And IF you have a leaking HG, I'd say it might be solved by a retorque. Not that your bolts might have stretched, but your MLS HG might have compressed...

    Car Sputters While Accelerating

I would never get mad when someone reports the reults of a fix. It pisses me off when the community bends over backwards, analyzing someone's issue, offers suggestions, and we never hear from the thread starter what the result was- it doesn't help the next guy who has the problem. THAT'S why we...
