Looks good with the new drop. Got the same wheels on my 88, though in gunmetal/ hyperblack. What part of Georgia? I'm in Lawrenceville. ps- never seen someone attempt to use the rain guards with the targa roof.

Anyone ever dissassembled the oil pump?

Ive never heard anyone say to NOT shim the pump, but i think i can be overshimmed. Ive also never heard of anyone completely tearing apart the pump, just taking the top cover Off and checking clearances as per the tsrm...and also a few guys have had their two gears moly coated To increase...

    rear subframe update

Either find an 89+ at the salvage yard, or better yet, have your own subframe reinforced. An 89+ can still crack.

    quietest mufflers out there..!??

Lol. Nice. But i'll keep it simple. Besides, i want to be able to go full power some times, as quietly as possible.. Even with the power penalty.

    quietest mufflers out there..!??

I bought a Borla for a rear unit, as it was reviewed as one of the quietest performance mufflers. It is a 3" to (2) 2.5" perforated tube design with stainless packing. I intend to also place a chambered Dynomax muffler at the mid position. I'm looking for a very quiet system, with a 3" cutout...

Crazy how fast your life can flash in front of your eyes..

Sorry sorry sorry. When an old lady runs into the first car that passes by, when she picks up her car from her LAST accident...time for the DMV to consider taking her liscense away. If I were to get a new car, I really think I'd look at the Scion FR-S. Just sayin.

    Good clutch setup for durability?

Honestly, a lighter flywheel doesn't do a whole lot in my opinion. I have one in my 7mgte, and I had one on my 7nge. Didn't notice much change.

$100 82 L type gets 7mgte swap, paint, P type conversion, suspension, ect ect

Very nice. Cant wait for the first start video.

    Good clutch setup for durability?

If it were me, driving 95% of the time on the street, I would use a sprung hub disc. That shudder/clunk might be a warp in the flywheel, if it was overheated... OR it could be looseness in a drivetrain component, OR a bad ujoint/cv...OR a crack in the rear subframe...OR a bad rear spherical...

Leak Down Results on MHG before start up

Leakdown or compression test after rebuild might not be too conclusive, if you have honed the cylinders and/ or replaced the rings. They need time to seat. PS- If I was only pushing 12psi or less on a stock turbo, I'd probably go with a composite hg and ARP's, especially if you suspect a less...

    Fuel injectors?

I ALWAYS dab petroleum jelly on the opening of the fuel rail, rather than the injector O-ring. I've never once had an injector leak. Check for sharp edges around those openings, as Poodles suggests.
