    Problems w/ my rear end

well if the supra rear is anything like my '94 yota pickup rear, its actually fairly simple. they use adjusting rings that take the place of shims and are threaded. to get the right preload and backlash u just turn the rings on either side and make the needed adjustments. rather then having to...

    I HATE AUTOMATICS!!

i did say that i wasnt exactaly sure how it was implemented but it is the basic idea. i just looked up the prius and its actually very interesting. i havnt seen pics of its exact setup but it seems as though it uses the planatary set and instead of holding one portion of it like in a...

    I HATE AUTOMATICS!!

its liek a snowmobile, in a snomobile and go carts that are equiped they use a variable diameter pully. it uses a v shaped belt that rides inbetween 2 pully halves. as the rpms go up the pully halves get pulled closer together pulling the belt further from the center or effectivly making the...

    Beltronics Performance Timer and Accelerometer

or if the road dips or tilts. also dont forget the launch when the car tips back, it tilts it back and adds g-force to it from gravity upping the horsepower reading or lowering the 1/4 mile time. i used mine in my friends mustang GT 2003 and it said 300 horsepower and it was all stock. next time...

    Beltronics Performance Timer and Accelerometer

but if its off then it wouldnt be that accurate in changing mods, your best bet is to use the g-force readout and when u accelerate look for the highest amount of g-force u can make, thne do ur mods and do it again. since the hosepower and 1/4 mile times are inconsistent it could be calibrated...

    I HATE AUTOMATICS!!

manual are more efficient, but autos have the advantages that overcome the slight inefficiencies. for example the extra 10-20 horse a manual will put out due to less drivetrain loss, is needed to keep up with the full boost launch and constant boost shifts of an auto. I beleive CVT's are still...
