Weez: In today's desensitised world as long as they didn't have to get up close and personal my guess is you'd be surprised at just how easy it would be for most people...... :(

My "guess" would be as I stated earlier that the Friction material on the Aluminium Flywheel is a close match to the material in the Disc that coupled with the fact that there may not be very good heat transfer between the Friction surface and the aluminium would cause hot spots that are close...

If it had the same numbers it was the same plug it's just a stripped plughole......... If you go helicoil be very careful NOT to let anything drop into the plug hole while tapping, get some High Temp wheel bearing grease and put some in the Tap grooves to catch the swarf. Tap a full turn...

Exact same rods! Get some ARP bolts and have the machine shop install them and resize the rods.

You just have to be quick! Have your Dad hit it with the heat for a couple of seconds just on the Nut then You wrench on it! If it works it'll come undone right away if not move to another.

Shouldn't need much heat Clip, the idea is to expand the nut then undo it before the stud expands and fills the gap you've made. You just need a temp differential between the 2 parts so you're NOT heating it red hot or anything that might damage the stud.

Yep just be ready to Wrench on it as soon as the Nut is hot, don't give it enough time for the Stud to expand.
