CNew: You can use the second port for boost control by running a regulator + boost pressure into the back of the diaphram.
10 psi spring + 2 psi from the reg will give you 12 psi this is very old school though and not many people do it.
When it starts hanging out on street corners selling crack wearing a backwards cap and saying "Yo" and "Aight" ;)
On a serious note they usually start making noise when idling or revving with the wheels straight.

A mate saw quite a big loss on the dyno using one as the internal ribs disturb airflow into the Compressor!
