Heads are the same....
Pistons are the only change between GTE/GE so it would drop comp to 8.5:1.
GTE's have squirters and a drain hole for the turbo in the block.
Aaron: No cranks should be actually spinning in the Oil......
The knife edging is done so it has less resistance to the oil that's drainging back while running (never been a fan of it and prefer a nice smooth radius)
Rods are identical
Toyota use a grading system for internal parts so it you can get a set of GTE pistons in the correct grade size there's no reason why it wouldn't work.
