Darrow: thanks it worked well with the crank trigger.
I can't see a reason why it won't work as both use the same triple trigger layout and 24 tooth reluctor.
50 is Cometic
Not many places will have the gear needed to measure RA so you're getting their "best guess" below 50 anyway.
I have my shop cut the very best/smoothest they can then Lap it using diamond paste.
Darrow: The 7M Distributor has larger bearings and a long pilot that runs in a bush in the head so "should" be quite stable at high rpm once you lose the rotor!
I used one as a CPS with a Hall sensor as the trigger to sync my standalone.
Below a certain size particles in the Oil can't cause wear (think it's 15 microns but not 100% due to faulty memory ;) )
You can get too anal with this sort of thing and my concern would be the small inline filter hetting blocked in time and restricting flow without you knowing.
Dirgle: If that's the case sure it has the same reluctor and triggers so I can't see why it wouldn't work.
Would just need to lose the Cap and rotor and make a cover to pretty it up a little.
Was only running it to 6000 and it was fine, Ign ran out of puff at higher boost and was blowing the spark out at tq peak on the rollers.
With a beefier Coil it would have been better, I ended up using it to trigger a standalone and swapped in a different Coil and Igniter then went full...
