it's the stops, the bolts usually had caps on them that get old and fall off, so it's then metal on metal and makes noise. you can try greasing that area and it should help...

I know my spark plug wires are old, but they're not cracking or coming apart, I just make sure to clean them very well since you can have issues with crap on them... (horrible trick you cna do to someone is take a pencil and write on their spark plug wires)

I run Ford gear lube with LSD friction modifier never had an issue after that...

yes, but I would STILL disassemble it and check the tolerances. Even a brand new stock one may be off, not to mention there might be metal in there (saw a post somewhere where the guy had to use a pick to get some metal out of there...) If SF had a working search you might be able to find...

you get what you pay for usually, I'd check the tolerances on the oil pump, the water pump is fine (they're cheap anyways), the idler pulley for the timing belt looks a bit weird (like the rollers are open not sealed). for a stock rebuild, I'd say go for it though, they have rebuild kits like...

just did this myself I was having all those issues, but a compression test came back fine. replaced all that stuff, and it doesn't leak anymore... always the little things isn't it LOL

it's normal for that to happen when you have metal get thrown through the engine (I spun a rod bearing) machine shop was able to clean everything up though..

DOT4 can be mixed with DOT3 I think DOT5.1 is too, but DOT5 is NOT compatible...

I had 6' of breaker bar to pop mine loose... put it in 1st, yank the e-brake as hard as possible, and have someone stand on the brakes...

how much it cost yah? and will a DDP bolt up, or would I need to modify mine?

if it's part of the engine wiring harness I know for a fact I do since I have my old harness still...
