it all depends on what sort of suspension the car has. our cars have lower and UPPER a-arms, the uppers are where the force of the suspension is impacting the chassis. if theres any bracing that would be benificial on our cars, it would be where the uppers meet the chassis. But good luck...

IIRC, you can still get the 6spd getrag from the mk4 brand new.. but they're like 6-8k me thinks. I've never seen a R154 in 'new' condition, but there are full rebuild kits for them so they can be rebuilt to 'like new' condition. If you do use a R154, you'll need to get a 1jz bell housing for it.
