you can run leaded gas whenever you want to. the lead will just eat up your O2 sensors a lot faster than normal. replace as needed :D

i remember reading somewhere on the net that the new crossmember came on cars built after 5/89". my old 89' -- which had a build date of 5/89" -- didn't have the correct crossmember for the 1j swap i was contemplating five years ago with the 1j i had. i'm not going to get in a argument with you...

wierd. i've owned a 87' turbo, 88" turbo, and a 91' turbo that was a parts car. the 87 and the 88 both had 7-blade fans while the 91' had 10... whatever, lol.

so much mystery in our cars, lol.

if your car has a build date of 5/89' or higher it's considered a 90'. they added the round fluid filled mounts and new crossmember to hold them. my guess is they upgraded the fan at the same time.

none of us with one green rep bar can give out any rep untill we get two green bars, or in other words 100 rep points. same thing on sf, but sice everybody is rep happy over there it isn't a problem receiving rep. only the mods and admins can +1 us here on sm. i, myself, have NINTEEN gray bars...
