Well, if it's not going to be a street car anymore. I'd say completely gut it and use a CF driveshaft and remove all the electric motors. Bumper supports probably weigh quite a bit as well as all the glass on the car. I know the stock seats also weigh a lot. The lightest model of our cars would...
The brake shouldn't haven anything to do with the clutch system. You can literately assemble the clutch system on a bench and it will operate as long as you hold the push rod inside the slave cylinder.
What I'm trying to say is the brakes have nothing to do with the clutch.
Is it a 5 speed or auto? Does it have a LSD diff?
I won't judge about the ebay kit as normally it's not the solid stuff that goes bad(aka manifold etc) it's the turbo or wastegate themselves. Just run it til it blows then get a bigger one with much better quality.
What kit is that? Could we see some interior pictures and a little bit more info on it?
Looks like my friends 87 except his is targa.
Welcome by the way.
What about the idler pulley for the timing belt? I know if you have the idler pulley torqued down it tries to pull on number 1 cylinder wall.
Make sure the back timing cover is mounted to the block and have them machined at the same time. Bore the block with the idler pulley torqued down as...
Did you bench bleed the master and slave cylinder? Falling to the floor means you've lost hydraulic pressure. Are you positive there's NO air left? Some might be trapped in the line. Best way I did this was..
Bench bleed the master cylinder and install.
Pump the pedal several times while...
well with the stock turbo, even being a 60-1 at 18 psi would stay rich with lex afm and 550 injectors as long as you have the fuel system upgraded as well.
Well, I'm using them on the street but simply by driving these tires heat up well.
Just by driving to town these tires get pretty warm. I tried heating up the tires to see if they got stickier and it doesn't feel like they do.
All of this is street, no track time yet.
Speaking from rs3's, I probably won't buy them again. They won't hold my setup on the ground right now. From a rolling punch I can melt the tires in 1st and sometimes 2nd. They do handle amazingly and the grip during braking is much better than my previous tire. They just can't get my power to...
400 bhp is possible with an upgraded ct26, walbro 255, lex afm, 550cc injectors, full 3" exhaust with a 3" turbo elbow or integrated 3" elbow. To get this easier though and safely, get a afpr and 2.5" hardpipes with a better fmic.
Well, I went by Lowes and picked up a gallon of Muriatic acid. I'll also be getting the eastwood fuel tank sealer. I won't be following these step by step but it's pretty close.
"Procedure: Gasoline Tank Cleaning
Muriatic Acid (or Acetone) is generally used for fuel tank cleaning. It can be...
