Nice little crunch from the engine compartment...

Hommer: that price isn't bad considering the cost of the two electric fans is pretty high... The shroud is cheap, but getting the isolators (little rubber pieces on the bottom that stop it from rattling) is a bit of a pain. I have a Koyo...and custom mounts to keep the shroud held down in...

LED JDM tail lights are finished! Lots of photos

Personally, I'd leave the center unlit with the normal lamps on, and make it come on as third brake light (that's my stealth third brake light design idea, giving away info here). Yes, it took WEEKS of scrubbing and soaking to get the nearly 20 year old paint off. If you tried with a new one...

Need to quiet exhaust, need suggestions

I haven't seen your car in a while, do you still work there? I just got the Raptor Racing exhaust and LOVE it.

    Downpipe Question

Your engine moves, without a flex it will make the entire exhaust move and put a lot of stress on the head/manifold/turbo. Same if you go over a speedbump and scrape hard, the force goes somewhere...

    BMW GINA Light Visionary Model

Looks like we're coming full circle... Look at aircraft. First they where made with paper/cloth, then aluminum, now composites. I'd drive the hell out of that, It's basicly like the Ariel Atom under it all, just with a cool skin over it to provide better aerodynamics. I'd buy one and...

I have a warrant out for me? I don't suppose we have any lawyers here....

Sounds like you need to show up at the attorney's office and raise hell.

Cost of converting A/C to R134a

I wouldn't presonally... $200 for the conversion? I wouldn't do it as that's telling me their just going to use a wal-mart special death kit and you'll be back in a year at the latest with a dead compressor. I should know...

Nice little crunch from the engine compartment...

Your friend's discount sucks, find another dealer that isn't going to charge you double...

What am i missing? leaking coolant:(

+1 Seals are gone in the waterpump, replace it as they usually go because the bearing go first.

    264 cams

No such thing as even just swapping cams from a different head or getting the head rebuilt will require reshimming. Valves aren't needed, but the springs should be upgraded to take the stress. Brian Crower is the only one I can think of for new cams that aren't regrinds...

    Anybody Have These Mods

There's your answer. The head NEEDS to be pilled as the fire rings in the stock HG tend to leave deep impressions in the head and not do anything to the block. I wouldn't use a stopper HG on an unprepped block, mine wasn't prepped fully (very good cleaning, and used fine sandpaper stuck...

    New Exhaust Idea

It branched off into 2 x 2.5" pipes. Hack the 2.5" part off, and weld a 3" part in like Raptor Racing does to their mufflers...

Manual Transmission fluid. What are you using and how do you like it?

Ford gear oil with the additive. Synthetics tend to make the rear end noisy...

    semi-custom exhaust + cat questions

as you know, the duel setup would be more expensive, but personally I'd use a bolt on 3" high flow cat and get the rest of the system made to fit to it. Not having any flanges makes removing the exhaust a ROYAL pain...

Manual Transmission fluid. What are you using and how do you like it?

Yes, notice jdub said ENGINE oil... In the tranny, you don't have the acids and other contaminates from a combustion process, so it will last far longer. German Castrol for engine, Redline MT-90 for tranny, and Ford dino oil and friction additive for the diff is what I run.
